UKATA Asbestos Awareness Course 1/2 day Course

Introduction

It is a legal requirement that all persons who may come across asbestos in their day to day work have been provided with asbestos awareness training. Employers must ensure that any employee whose work has the potential to expose them to asbestos containing materials, have undergone suitable asbestos awareness training so that they are aware of the potential dangers they may face and also the procedures they must follow in the event that they are working in the vicinity of asbestos containing materials. The most widely accepted Asbestos Awareness Training courses are those accredited by UK Asbestos Training Association (UKATA). Most main/principal contractors will only accept workers who have UKATA accredited asbestos awareness training. We provide UKATA registered Asbestos Awareness Training. • Safe work practices, control measures, and protective equipment, (what you can and can’t do)
• The purpose, choice, limitations, proper use and maintenance of respiratory protective equipment
• Emergency procedures (how to deal with an asbestos incident)
• Legislation, how to remain compliant.

• Bespoke Company Courses We can deliver training at your own premises, directly on-site or other venue of your own choice and offer early start times so that disruption to the working day is minimised.
• Open Courses Open courses are available to any individual(s) requiring UKATA Asbestos Awareness Training. Courses are delivered at our Stoke-on-Trent or Crewe, Cheshire training premises.

   Bespoke Company Courses: (allows for up to 15 persons)
   1. At our Stoke-on-Trent Training Centre: £495.00 + V.A.T.
   2. At your own premises or venue of your choice:
      • Within 60 miles of Stoke-on-Trent: £425.00 + V.A.T.
      • 60 – 100 miles of Stoke-on-Trent: £465.00 + V.A.T.
      • Over 100 miles of Stoke-on-Trent: £525.00 + V.A.T.
